We read everything and usually reply within a few days. Tell us your phone model and what you were doing when it went wrong.
Getting great lessons
- Pick a photo with one clear subject: a pet, a mug, a plant, a face.
- Good light helps. Avoid very dark or blurry photos.
- Fill the frame: get close so the subject takes up most of the photo.
- New to drawing? Start at Easy. You can redo the same photo at a harder level later.
The daily limit
You can start 2 new photo drawings a day. The count resets at midnight in your time zone. Ready-made lessons, the daily challenge and drawings you've already started don't count, so there's always something to draw.
Where are my drawings?
In the Drawings tab. They're saved on your phone only, so if you delete the app, they go with it.
A lesson looks wrong
Try another photo of the same thing with a plainer background, or a lower level. If it keeps happening, email us the photo and we'll take a look.
Deleting your data
Quill has no accounts. Deleting the app removes everything on your phone. Photos are never stored on our server. To delete the anonymous install ID and daily counts on our server, email us with the subject "Delete my data". Details in the privacy policy.
Which phones?
Quill is coming to Android (now in closed testing) and iPhone. The download buttons on the home page go live the day it's out.
